The green light given by the European Commission to Rosatom's construction of two nuclear reactors in Hungary is censured by the European Court of Justice
The European Court of Justice has overturned the European Commission's decision approving the award of the construction of two nuclear reactors to Rosatom by the Hungarian government. The European Court of Justice criticised the Commission for ignoring European public procurement rules. The Commission had in fact authorised Hungary to subsidise the construction of these two reactors in Paks without issuing a call for tenders as part of a project developed by Hungary and Rosatom that began in 2014.
