Nuclear electricity to be considered zero-emission energy

In a draft version of a guidance document aimed at clarifying certain provisions of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, the European Commission states that the carbon-free energy sources that can be used to supply energy to a zero-emission building are renewable energies and nuclear power. Under the directive, all new buildings will have to be zero-emission from 2030.
