Ukraine to buy LNG from the United States

US Exporter Venture Global has signed an LNG supply contract with DTEK, Ukraine's largest private power producer. The terms of the contract were not disclosed. The gas will be liquefied in Louisiana at the Plaquemines liquefaction terminal and shipped to various European countries, including Greece, before being transported by pipeline to Ukraine. Some of the gas purchased by DTEK will be resold in Europe by the producer's trading subsidiary. The Plaquemines liquefaction terminal is scheduled to come on stream in 2024.
