An order published on Thursday, March 27, reduces the feed-in tariffs for rooftop solar photovoltaic installations. For rooftop installations between 100 and 500 kW (on agricultural sheds, shade structures, commercial buildings), the electricity feed-in tariff will drop from 105 to 95 euros per megawatt hour as of March 28. From July 1st, the feed-in tariff will be degressive according to the number of projects connected in the previous month. A simplified tendering system will then replace the feed-in tariffs. For individuals, the feed-in tariff is divided by three to 40 euros per MWh and installation premiums are falling sharply. The cost of supporting the sector reached 2.1 billion euros in 2024 and would have reached 2.9 billion euros in 2025 without a downward revision of the feed-in tariffs.
