The office of the Minister for Energy has unveiled the broad outlines of the sixth period of energy saving certificates. The sixth period will begin as planned on 1 January 2026 and end on 31 December 2030. The government has set an overall obligation of 1,050 TWh cumac per year for the period, an increase of 27% compared to today. The precariousness obligation remains unchanged at 280 TWh cumac.
Among the new sources targeted by the obligation are those linked to the electrification of transport (heavy goods vehicles, light vehicles).
