The European Parliament's Energy Commission to vote on stockpiling
The European Parliament's Energy Commission is expected to vote on April 24 on the issue of the fill rate of European gas stocks after a debate on April 9. The European Commission has proposed to extend until the end of 2027 the rule that sets the fill rate of gas stocks at 90% as of November 1st. Poland, which holds the presidency of the European Union until June 30, is in favor of relaxing this rule. The Commission's vote is an essential step for the European Parliament to begin negotiations with the Polish presidency.
