Spot prices fell to -412 EUR/MWh on 26 April between 13:00 and 15:00

Spot prices averaged -412 EUR/MWh between 13:00 and 15:00 on 26 April, with a low of 478.8 EUR/MWh at 14:00. The average spot price between 23 and 30 April stood at 9.37 EUR/MWh. During this same period, prices exceeded 100 EUR/MWh on two occasions, on 23 April and 27 April between 07:00 and 08:00. The price level is directly linked to the significant contribution from solar power in France and neighbouring countries. At midday, France and most of its neighbours were net exporters, with only Italy showing a net import position.
