Russian gas deliveries to Europe down by 43% in 2023
Deliveries of Russian gas by pipeline and LNG reached 50 billion cubic metres in 2023, down 43% on 2022. LNG deliveries accounted for 20 billion cubic metres, while deliveries by land reached 30 billion cubic metres.
Deliveries by pipeline fell by 56%. LNG deliveries in 2023 will be at around the same level as in 2022.
Spain is the leading importer of Russian LNG, followed by Belgium and France.
Flows through Ukraine and Turkey have remained unchanged since October 2022.
