RTE has published its electricity balance sheet for 2025

This week, RTE published the latest edition of its French electricity report.
In 2025, electricity consumption remained stable, 6% below its 2019 level.
Electricity production reached 547.5 TWh, of which only 26.4 TWh came from fossil fuel-based thermal production.
France exported 92.3 TWh, or 17% of its production.
The carbon content of electricity production reached a historic low of 10.9 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent.
30 GW of access rights to the RTE network were allocated to projects at the end of 2025.
