The French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) has submitted its proposed changes to regulated electricity tariffs to the Minister for Energy. CRE is proposing to maintain the tariff at a virtually unchanged level (+0.01%) from 1 February.
However, the level of the regulated tariff is set to rise as a result of the increase in the excise duty on electricity (formerly known as TICFE), with an average increase of 10% for private customers and 6.2% for business customers.
