Qatari LNG output expected back to normal soon

Qatar has said that liquefied natural gas production at Ras Laffan should resume and return to normal within a few weeks, with the exception of liquefaction trains 6 and 8, which were damaged and account for annual LNG output of 18 billion cubic metres. Qatar is the world's second-largest LNG producer behind the United States, with annual output of 110 billion cubic metres. The country had invoked force majeure and halted production at the start of the war. The Qatari government said force majeure would be lifted only if the geopolitical situation allows.
