Orano loses control of its uranium mine in Niger

Orano has announced that it has lost operational control of the Somaïr mine in Niger. The government of Niger had refused to allow Orano to export its production, and this refusal was repeated on 3 December, leading Orano to draw the necessary conclusions. Niger accounted for 15% of the group's uranium supplies.
