Natran scales back its 2026 investment programme
The gas transmission network operator now plans to invest €528 million in 2026, against €614 million initially planned. In a review published at the end of July, the energy regulator (Commission de régulation de l'énergie) said it had approved the reduction, mainly explained by a downward revision of the cost of rehabilitating the Rhône trunkline. A rehabilitation programme had been decided after two consecutive incidents in June and September 2025, but the extent of the pipelines needing repair had been overestimated. The enhanced multi-year network inspection programme Natran plans to carry out between 2026 and 2035 has also been scaled back.
