With Météo France forecasting high temperatures next week, particularly in the south-east of the country, EDF could be forced to reduce output at the Tricastin (3,600 MW), Bugey (3,600 MW) and Saint-Alban (2,900 MW) power plants between 9 and 16 August. These plants use water from the Rhône as a source of cooling, and regulations set temperature limits downstream of the plants, which may force them to adapt their operation during a heatwave.
