Ground-mounted solar plants of more than 3 MW will require a building permit

The Conseil d'État has upheld the legality of the increase in the capacity threshold below which ground-mounted solar installations are exempt from building permits. In late July the administrative court rejected an appeal by the Confédération paysanne, which had sought the annulment, for "abuse of power", of certain provisions of the decree implementing Article 40 of the 2023 law on accelerating renewable energy.
