Germany, Austria and Italy to develop the H2 southern corridor

The German, Austrian and Italian governments have signed a letter of intent to develop a 3,300-kilometre pipeline to bring green hydrogen produced in North Africa to European consumption centres. The project will be developed by Snam, Trans Austria, Gas Connect Austria and Bayernets. Commissioning is scheduled for 2030.
