German electricity companies are opposed to a revival of nuclear power in Germany

While the CDU's Christian Democrat opposition is increasingly talking about a revival of nuclear power in Germany, the major German electricity companies seem to be unanimously opposed to the reopening of nuclear power stations currently being dismantled and to the construction of new reactors. RWE believes that the nuclear option involves too much risk for a private player to bear. In particular, it believes that the construction risk should be borne by the state.
