Gas consumption in industry is reported to have fallen by 17%

According to the German regulator BNA, industrial natural gas consumption between 2 and 15 March 2026 is reported to have fallen by 17% compared with the last two weeks of February, with gas market prices having almost doubled since the start of the war. The UK is experiencing a similar situation, with industrial consumption down by 20% for gas and 15% for electricity.
