French nuclear reactors should be able to remain in operation for more than 60 years

EDF Chairman Luc Rémont told the International Energy Agency's nuclear summit in Brussels on 20 March that French nuclear reactors could be operated beyond the age of 60. The French Nuclear Safety Agency will have to take a position by the end of 2026 on extending the operating life of nuclear reactors beyond 60 years.
