France remains a major importer of Russian gas

Deliveries of Russian LNG to France have increased more than to any other European country in recent months. TotalEnergies, which has signed a contract to purchase 4 million tonnes of gas from the Yamal project until 2032, is also a 19.4% shareholder in Novatek, Russia's No. 2 gas company.
