France could build eight more nuclear reactors

The French President has indicated that France could build eight additional nuclear reactors on top of the six already planned. How the six reactors will be financed has still not been decided. EDF currently estimates the cost of these six reactors at €67.4 billion, compared with €51.7 billion at the time of an initial assessment in 2021. This cost does not include the cost of financing the project.
