Marc Ferracci, Minister for Industry and Energy, has acknowledged the failure of negotiations on nuclear production allocation contracts (CAPN) between EDF and electro-intensive industries. During a session in the Senate on March 19, he emphasized that the objective of 40 TWh set by the State-EDF agreement was far from being reached, with only 12 TWh covered by letters of intent and only one contract signed for an insignificant volume. He also criticized EDF's decision to launch European auctions for these contracts, pointing out that this did not exempt it from its commitments. The government remains firm on the need for EDF to respect the agreement.
