Electricity companies could sell electricity at zero price during the day.

The Australian government has asked electricity companies to sell electricity at zero prices during the day in order to absorb excess solar photovoltaic capacity and help rebalance the grid. More than 4 million households (out of a total of 10.9 million) are equipped with solar panels, causing prices to collapse during the day with negative prices becoming increasingly frequent. The government wants to force electricity suppliers to sell electricity at zero prices for three hours a day in order to encourage consumers to change their consumption behaviour. Shifting the peak would help absorb excess capacity and avoid some grid upgrades.
