EDF's future Chairman confirms 40 TWh CAPN target

A majority of Members of Parliament supported the appointment of Bernard Fontana as head of EDF. The company's Board of Directors is expected to propose his appointment on 5 May. The future Chairman of EDF has taken on board the objective of signing 40 TWh of nuclear production allocation contracts (CAPN) with large electricity-consuming industrial companies, considering that the effort to be made by EDF was not considerable. However, Bernard Fontana gave no indication of the price he would propose to electricity-intensive manufacturers, indicating that his personal position was fairly close to that expressed by the manufacturers.
