EDF revises upwards its nuclear generation forecast for 2024
Earlier this week, EDF revised its nuclear power generation forecast for this year. The company is now targeting output of between 340 and 360 TWh, compared with an initial forecast of 315-345 TWh. Nuclear power generation rose by 12.5%, or 29 TWh, year-on-year between January and September. This increase was achieved mainly thanks to a reduction in the duration of maintenance outages. For 2025, EDF is targeting nuclear generation of between 335 and 365 TWh, in line with this year's forecast.
