EDF has signed 671 electricity supply contracts for periods of 4 to 5 years. These contracts represent annual consumption of 5 TWh per year. The average selling price is €70/MWh.
According to CLEEE, 5% of the association's member companies have signed contracts extending to 2029. The main difficulty for companies is to project their activity over such a long time horizon.
For electricity-intensive customers, the product proposed by EDF, which is complex and involves advance payment of part of the price, is likely to require a long period of discussion and negotiation. BPI could offer to finance the advance at the head of the nuclear production allocation agreement.
