CRE proposes a 2.5% average increase in regulated tariffs from 1 August

The Commission de régulation de l'énergie has proposed to the government a 2.5% increase in the average level of regulated sales tariffs from 1 August. The proposed rise stems from the increase in the TURPE network tariff and in the capacity price, and factors in the cut to the electricity excise duty for residential customers, which falls from 30.85 to 30.62 euros/MWh on 1 August. The increase amounts to 5.98 euros including tax per MWh. At 31 March 2026, 19.37 million residential customers had subscribed to a regulated tariff offer.
