China wants to double its wind and solar production capacity by 2035
The Chinese President has indicated that the country intends to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 10% and double its wind and solar production capacity by 2035. China is thus asserting itself as the world leader in the fight against climate change. China accounts for a third of global greenhouse gas emissions. However, the target of reducing emissions by 10% by 2035 would not be enough for China to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.
