China controls a large proportion of the renewable energy supply chains

According to the International Energy Agency, China’s dominance of supply chains in the clean energy sector (solar panels, heat pumps, wind turbines, batteries and electrolysers) stands at between 60% and 85%. By way of comparison, the IEA points out that OPEC controls only 33% of global oil supply and 15% of global natural gas supply.
