CGT opposes private investment in civilian nuclear projects

France’s CGT trade union is opposed to the development of civilian nuclear projects by private companies. The union argues that civilian nuclear power—and in particular small fast-neutron reactors—should not be developed by private operators. It is notably targeting projects led by Newcleo, including a 30 MW lead-cooled fast-neutron small reactor prototype and a MOX fuel fabrication plant.
