The Canadian infrastructure fund Brookfield, in association with Temasek, Singapore's sovereign wealth fund, could acquire Neoen, one of France's leading renewable energy developers. The deal would value Neoen at €6.1 billion. Brookfield and Temasek are in exclusive negotiations with Impala, the investment holding company headed by Jacques Veyrat, which holds 54% of Neoen's shares. The aim of Brookfield and Temasek would then be to acquire the entire share capital of Neoen. In 2018, Impala sold Direct Energie to TotalEnergies for €1.9 billion. Neoen's portfolio consists of 8,000 MW of wind, solar and battery assets in operation or under construction and nearly 20,000 MW of projects under development.
