The US Environmental Protection Agency is currently in the process of canceling almost all offshore wind projects under development in the United States. The portfolio of projects under development represented a potential capacity of 60,000 MW. The new administration, fiercely opposed to the development of offshore wind power, instructed the Environmental Protection Agency to withdraw all permits issued and freeze current instructions. According to the industry, 40 billion dollars have been invested in offshore wind power in the United States to develop projects, including 20 billion by European companies.
