4200 MW of new renewable capacity connected to the Enedis network in 2023
4200 MW of renewable electricity generation capacity were connected to the electricity distribution network managed by Enedis in 2023. This is a record figure. Photovoltaic solar power accounted for 3,100 MW. A further 5,000 MW could be connected to the grid by 2024. By way of comparison, 2,000 MW, or 30,000 installations, were connected to the grid in 2019. Enedis reports that connection times have fallen from 21 to 15 months on average.
